South Indian weddings carry centuries of ritual, color, and quiet devotion — and we’ve spent over 15 years learning to photograph them the way they deserve. From the early morning Kashi Yatra and Nalangu ceremonies to the Saptapadi around the sacred fire, our approach stays unobtrusive, letting each ritual unfold naturally while we capture the details that often go unnoticed — a grandmother’s tears, the scent of jasmine being woven into a bride’s hair, the weight of tradition in a single glance.

We’ve documented weddings across Tamil Brahmin, Iyer, Iyengar, Chettiar, and Kongu communities, as well as Kannada ceremonies across Karnataka — each with its own customs, timing, and symbolism that we take the time to understand before the big day.
