Post wedding couple shoot at Ponnamaravathi, Karaikudi

Some of the best couple portraits happen after the wedding rush has settled — when there’s no ceremony to keep pace with, no schedule to follow, just the two of you. That’s exactly what we set out to capture on this post-wedding shoot at Ponnamaravathi, just outside Karaikudi in the heart of the Chettinad region. 

The countryside around Ponnamaravathi gave us everything we love shooting — open farmland, quiet dirt roads, and the kind of soft, golden late-afternoon light that makes candid portraits feel effortless. Paired with the rustic, untouched charm of the Chettinad landscape, it made for a shoot that felt relaxed and personal rather than staged. 

We moved through a few different settings across the afternoon — from open fields catching the last light of the day to quieter, shaded corners that let the couple’s ease with each other come through naturally. No forced poses, no rushed transitions — just two people, comfortable in front of the camera, in a setting that let their story breathe.
